Grocery Shopping  买菜

Mrs. Lin and Susan decided to go shopping for some groceries. They wanted to get some things they needed to make spaghetti.
林太太和苏珊决定去买点菜，她们想买一些做意大利面用的材料。
*Susan: So this is an American supermarket! There must be a lot of interesting things in here!
*Mrs. Lin: I'm sure there are. We'll have to try some of them.
*Susan: This place is so big! It could take all day to go shopping in here.
*Mrs. Lin: It might if we don't get started. Let's get a shopping cart and start in the produce section.
苏　珊：原来这就是美国的超级市场啊！里面一定有很多有趣的东西！
林太太：我相信一定有，我们一定得试试新东西。
苏　珊：这个地方好大啊！到这里买东西可以花上一整天呢！
林太太：如果我们不赶快开始，可能真的要花一天的时间了。我们去拿一辆推车，然后从蔬果区开始。

After picking out some fruits and vegetables, the Lins went to the meat section.
挑完水果和蔬菜之后，她们就去肉品区。
Mrs. Lin: I have a coupon for ground beef. The price is usually $1.99/lb. With the coupon, I can get it for $1.49/lb. Let's get two pounds.
Susan: Mom, these hot dogs look good.
Mrs. Lin: How much do they cost?
Susan: The regular price is $1.89/lb. But they're marked down to $1.39/lb.
Mrs. Lin: Let's get some. Oh, and remind me to pick up some buns in the bakery section.

They still needed pasta and spices for their spaghetti. But they didn't know where to find them.

Mrs. Lin: All right. Oh, here's the coffee and tea. Do we need any?
Susan: I think we have plenty at home. Besides, I'll just stick to soda.

They found the pasta and spices without any trouble. They also found many other things they hadn't planned to buy. Soon their shopping cart was almost full. At the checkout line, the check out clerk scanned their groceries. He weighed the produce on a scale. The bagger asked Mrs. Lin if she wanted plastic or paper bags. She decided to use paper. After the groceries were bagged, Susan pushed the shopping cart out to the car.
她们轻易地找到了面条和调味料，同时也找到很多原先没有计划要买的东西。还没多久，她们的推车就几乎要堆满东西了。在结帐处，收银员用机器扫瞄她们买的食物，秤了蔬果的重量。装袋人员问林太太要用塑料袋还是纸袋，她选用了纸袋。蔬果装袋之后，苏珊就把推车推出去到车子那里去。

Mrs. Lin: Susan, why don't you go ahead and put the groceries in the car. I'll be right back.
Susan: Where are you going?
Mrs. Lin: I want to pick up some sandwiches from the deli for supper. I don't feel like cooking spaghetti after all that shopping!
*林太太：苏珊，你先去把蔬菜水果放到车上，我马上回来。
*苏　珊：你要去哪里啊？
*林太太：我想去熟食区买些三明治当晚餐。买菜买得这么累，我不太想煮意大利面了。
